Software Test Engineer

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. ( www.aesi.com ) is looking for several Software Test Engineers (with a high-degree of knowledge of Python) with all levels of experience for one of our premier clients in the Satellite/Spacecraft and the Missile Defense Protection industry. This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA, or Denver CO.  This will be a long-term contract with full benefits included. Very high probability of converting to a direct-hire.

Role Expectations:

• Conduct software test planning, perform functional software testing, automated software testing, or technical analysis.
• Analyze requirements and work with subject matter experts to identify functional and/or performance test cases.
• Evaluate test results and provide feedback to team members and project stakeholders.
• Create testing environments
• Create and manage test documentation
• Deliver strong communication skills (written & verbal); ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required Skills:

• Experience with C/C++, Python, WindRiver and Linux OS, and Object-Oriented design is preferred.
• Knowledge of embedded systems architectures and test experience using embedded systems.
• Demonstrated experience using the Agile methodology in the development, integration and test of complex software systems and environments.
• Experience executing projects with agile processes and tools
• Programming background in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with leading process improvement initiatives.
• Experience with program lifecycle execution from concept phase through end-of-life phase.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.
• An active security clearance (Top Secret, or TS/SCI w/Poly)

Salary range:
$80,000-$180,000 (depending on experience and clearance levels).
