HIL Engineer

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is looking for a very long-term contract Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) Test Engineer for one of our Fortune 500 clients in the Santa Clara, CA area.  As our employee, you qualify for our full benefit package. This will start as a one-year contract with a lot of potential for extension and conversion. This is a hybrid role with 3 days being onsite in Santa Clara working with state of the art equipment and the opportunity to learn and make serious impact on some of the new-waves of the technological future.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design test cases for testing of hardware and firmware sensors and sub-systems
• Develop and maintain test code in a Test and measurement environment
• Responsible testing control systems and microcontrollers 

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience
• Strong hardware and software and testing experience 
• Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Controls Engineering preferred)
• Good and recent experience writing code in Python
• Prior test automation experience
• HIL testing experience
• dSPACE Scalexio experience 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
