System Engineer Manager

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is looking for a hands-on System Engineering Manager for one of our premier clients. This is a direct hire position that will be working onsite in the El Segundo, CA area. As their employee, you qualify for their full benefit package.

Job Responsibilities:

• Developing and organizing requirements development
• Lead and manage the team
• Establishing verification and validation & working with development engineers for a more structured V&V
• Writing test plans, running tests, & conducting risk analysis
• Assisting engineers with make it custom or buy it analysis for different types of payloads, batteries, rotors; electronics interface control, knows IDCs (interface control documents)
• Working closely with the customers to develop concept of operations

Job Requirements:

• 15+ years of work experience
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
• Experience using Excel
• Prior experience managing and leading teams
• Hands-on running test and doing risk analysis and help when needed

Preferred: 

• Aerospace, aviation or military experience preferred.
• Experience working at a government contractor is preferred
• Knowledge of document and s/w configuration control is a plus
